Royal Quiet DeLuxe Retro Painted Purple w Red Carrying Case Made in 1955

IMG 1665Price $350 SOLD!!

The Royal Quiet De Luxe was a popular portable typewriter.  It made its first appearance in 1939, and they continued the mass production into the late fifties.  During that time, they were all made in the US... it wasn't until the sixties that Royal started making some of their typewriters in Japan, and then eventually, China, like everything else.  The Quiet model was renamed Arrow, and then went quite a few more changes, developing all the way up into the 80s.

But this one is the old Quiet De Luxe, still being made in the 1955, and still the solid portable that millions of Americans learned to trust.  It was what makes us like Royal.  It's dependable, but still lite enough to take anywhere.

The original color for this was kind of a dull grey.  To me, it was just the right size for a girlish purple.  It fits right into any little girl's desk area and since the carrying case was in such great shape I saw no reason not to give that a new color as well (it was originally a light tan).

If you're in Cincinnati, you can use the local buy now option.  I can deliver it, or you can schedule to come in for a quick demo and a rundown on how to operate these older manual typewriters.  If you're outside the Cincinnati area, please choose the option to include $30 for shipping.
