The Underwood No 5 was a popular typewriter, and there are thousands of them out there--in collections and for sale. This one was donated to us, and I went through it thoroughly to make sure that it could stand up to the work and usage that it was originally designed to handle.
But here's a bonus... I recorded the work. See the video at the bottom of the page. This is the first in a series I hope to make, detailing the work that goes into my refurbishing process... as well as explanations for why I'm doing certain things.
