The Royal 10 is probably my favorite typewriter. This little guy was found in the back of a closet at an estate sale. While the machine has obviously gotten plenty of use, I found the mechanics of it had been well taken care of. This machine will look good as a decoration, but it will work as hard as any typewriter for a writer with a muse. It is as solidly functional as the day it was delivered.
Despite the chipped paint on the corners, the worn "ROYAL" logo, and the cracked front plate, this beauty shined up nicely. The BLACK in this typewriter is as black as lack can be. I wish they made cars in this color.
The paten is solid and left untouched. The rollers have all been replaced. The keys, as you can see, have been replaced as well.
